Meet Miku and her paw-mily!

Miku is a Pomapoo whose birthday is on 7 April 2019. She is a happy girl who loves her Pawmum (Tracy) and all different types of treats. We have been living happily together for the past five years!

Q: How do you care for the wellness of your pet, especially if they are prone to any hereditary illness?

I ensure that Miku gets all the necessary health checks regularly with our vet. Miku is also given supplements to ensure that her health remains as good as possible. She is also fed the right type of food to ensure that her health is also kept in the best condition.

When shopping for pet insurance, my main considerations were coverage, pricing, and the simplicity of purchasing and managing claims.

Miniature schnauzers are prone to eye-related diseases such as cataracts 🧐 and heart-related diseases 💔. Bringing them to regular yearly check-ups 🏥 would help to detect the disease in time and receive treatment promptly.

Q: What were your consideration / buying process like when shopping around for a pet insurance?

When shopping around for pet insurance, our buying process revolved around three main considerations: pricing, coverage, and exclusions. We wanted a policy that offered comprehensive coverage at a reasonable price while minimizing exclusions that could potentially leave gaps in our pet’s protection.

People are not aware of the importance and the cost of medical fees should their pet need to undergo major surgery or require long-term medical care.

Start Early: Consider getting pet insurance as soon as you bring your pet home. Starting early can help ensure coverage for any potential health issues that may arise.

Understand Coverage: Make sure you understand what is covered and what is not covered by the policy. Some policies may exclude pre-existing conditions or specific treatments, so read the fine print carefully.

Consider Your Pet’s Needs: Think about your pet’s breed, age, and any pre-existing conditions they may have. Some pets may be more prone to certain health issues, so choose a policy that provides adequate coverage for those potential problems.

Ask Questions: Don’t hesitate to ask questions and clarify any doubts you may have before purchasing a policy. Understand the claims process, reimbursement procedures, and any other terms and conditions associated with the policy.

Meet Ben and his paw-mily!

Hello! I’m Shirley and my furkid is Ben. My husband and I have just moved into our own home when we chanced upon Ben’s adoption post. We paid him a visit and he was so sad looking! He looked like he had given up on life and right there and then, both of us just wanted to do all we can to protect him.

We learned from the rescuer that Ben was probably
an abandoned cat as he suddenly appeared in the neighbourhood. He lived for some weeks as a community cat. However, he was timid, shy and was getting bullied by the other community cats.

Thankfully, he was rescued off the streets and we were lucky enough to be chosen as adopters. Ben has now blossomed into a sweet, floofy, tam chiak cat who runs the house and has brought us so much joy.

As we do not know much about Ben’s background, we take all the precautions we can by ensuring that he goes for his regular vet check ups, all his vaccinations are up to date and he takes Furment Complete to maintain his immune system.

Go for it! If you’re insured, your furkid deserves the same protection.

We are Hotpot’s Pawrents who loves to eat Hotpot and named our little boy Hotpot ❤️ Hotpot has a fun personality and full of energy but a sucker for treats 😆 He may be stubborn at times but with treats… he’d do anything 🙃 we love him and his little baby sister and brother both cherish his companionship at home ❤️
