Aon’s HappyTails: @Mocha.bearry

The Paws Behind the Story: Mocha the golden heart boy!

Hi! I am Melanie, and my family has always love doggy. Mocha is not our first but second, or maybe third pet! We lost our adopted chihuahua at the age of 13 years old. ‭After a long break, and when the children have grown up, we have a strong desire for another dog. ‬

On my son’s birthday in 2022, we received a call from our pet contact and rushed to meet our potential new furry family member.

It was love at first sight with this hyperactive puppy! Mocha jumped and licked at whoever carried him, and we knew he was meant to be ours.

Mocha, the certified therapy dog, frequently visits to the hospital, homes and higher learning institution to bring immense joy, laughter to those who need it most. He’s our precious fur baby!

Q: How do you care for the wellness of your pet, especially if they are prone to any hereditary illness?

Mocha, our miniature poodle, is a bundle of energy!

To keep him happy and healthy, we take him on 3-4 short walks daily and let him run free at the dog park for zoomies galore! We also feed him a balanced diet with rotating foods and daily supplements for optimal health.

To kill his boredom, we engage his smart mind with interactive games and new tricks. We’re aware of potential health issues like Luxating Patella and Hip Dysplasia, so it is importance to send him for regular checkups and annual vaccinations are a must!

We’re exploring affordable insurance options for comprehensive coverage Prevention is key, and we’re committed to giving Mocha the best life possible!

Q: What do you look out for when considering a pet insurance?

When considering pet insurance, it’s crucial to carefully evaluate the coverage options.

Key considerations include: – Comprehensive coverage for accidents, illnesses, hereditary conditions, third-party liability, and funeral expenses – Policy exclusions and limitations, particularly for breed-specific illnesses – Premiums, deductibles, and reimbursement rates from various providers

By doing our homework and comparing options, we can find a plan that fits our budget and meets our pet’s unique needs.

If you have checked out Happy Tails, what do you like the most about the policy?

After researching Happy Tail, I’m impressed that their policy covers a wide range of illnesses, including: – Joint issues like Luxating Patella and Hip Dysplasia, common in miniature poodles – Eye problems like cataract and glaucoma

I’m particularly drawn to Happy Tail’s lifetime coverage, including specified hereditary and congenital conditions. This provides peace of mind for pet owners like me, who worry about potential health issues arising from injuries or age-related conditions.

Given Mocha’s energetic and playful nature, it’s reassuring to know that Happy Tail’s policy can help mitigate future health risks. I highly recommend considering Happy Tail’s pet insurance for young pets, before any potential health issues arise.

Aon’s HappyTails: @lexyethegolden

This is Lexye, my four-year-old Golden Retriever and the absolute sunshine of my life.

From the moment those big, round puppy eyes locked with mine – and that golden tail started wagging like a propeller – I knew she was the one. She’s a bottomless pit when it comes to food (seriously, nothing is safe), but somehow still manages to charm every stranger she meets with her over-the-top enthusiasm and goofy energy.

Whether it’s her Olympic-style pool dives or zooming laps around the house, this girl does not have a chill mode. Swimming is her favourite activity in the world – so much so that I usually have to carry her out of the water when it’s time to go.

We spend our days chasing each other, splashing around, and making everyday adventures feel like something out of a Pixar movie. She’s not just a dog. She’s my partner in chaos, my emotional support goofball, and the best decision I’ve ever made. 💛🐶🌊

Q: How do you care for the wellness of your pet, especially if they are prone to any hereditary illness?

Regular grooming and checking at home and at the groomers, regular vet visits and of course insurance!!

Q: What were your consideration / buying process like when shopping around for a pet insurance?

I wanted something affordable, fuss-free, and with good coverage for common illnesses and emergencies. Peace of mind was key.

Q: What eventually made you decide to get insured with Aon Happy Tail?

The coverage was comprehensive, the reviews were solid, and I loved that the claims process looked straightforward. It felt trustworthy.

How is the entire buying process like? How long did the entire process took?
Super smooth! I signed up online in just a few minutes – it was clear, quick, and easy to understand.

Why do you think people are not ready to commit to a pet insurance?

Some think it’s unnecessary or too expensive, but honestly, one unexpected vet visit could cost way more.

Q: Has anything changed (mentally) after getting your pet insured?

Absolutely – I feel a lot more at ease knowing she’s protected. I can focus on enjoying our time together without the constant “what if” worries.

Any suggestion or advice to people who are still shopping around or considering pet insurance?

Don’t wait for something to happen before getting insured. It’s one of the best gifts you can give your pet – and your future self!

Aon’s HappyTails: @Snowyythepomsky

Snowy is a 6 month old Pomsky that is active and food motivated. She loves the outdoors and car ride to playing with friends.

Q: How do you care for the wellness of your pet, especially if they are prone to any hereditary illness?

I care for my pet by staying proactive. I schedule regular vet check ups and ask about breed specific screening and early blood or urine tests so we can catch issues early. I keep vaccines and parasite prevention up to date. At home I focus on a balanced diet approved by my vet, strict weight control, daily exercise, joint friendly play, and enrichment to reduce stress. I brush teeth, groom, and monitor any changes in appetite, thirst, mobility or behaviour, with a simple log to spot trends. I also keep an emergency plan and an updated medical file.

Q: What do you look out for when considering a pet insurance?

I prioritise coverage breadth and clarity. I check that the plan covers accidents and illnesses, including congenital and hereditary conditions and chronic issues at renewal. I review coverage for cancer treatments and dental illness, and whether alternative therapies are included when prescribed.

If you have checked out Happy Tail, what do you like the most about the policy?

What I like most is the value for money. Premiums feel fair for the breadth of cover. The policy protects against accidents and illnesses, including congenital or hereditary conditions, with strong annual limits that support diagnostics, surgery, hospitalisation and medication.

Overall, the balance between price and comprehensive coverage stands out.

Aon’s HappyTails: @matcha_lattexo

Hi there! I’m Kyler and my furkid is Matcha — yes, he’s named after my favourite drink (you guessed it: matcha). He’s a 7-month-old British Longhair, super fluffy and full of personality.

Getting Matcha wasn’t something I rushed into. I spent months reading up on different breeds, learning about their needs, and making sure I was ready. Eventually, I visited a cattery just to have a look — and somehow walked out knowing Matcha was the one.

He’s obsessed with anything feathery and loves chasing balls around the house. Feathers especially — he never gets bored of them. His current favourite snack is freeze-dried chicken cubes, and he goes absolutely nuts for them.

Being a pet parent has been such a fun (and slightly chaotic) journey, and I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to keep Matcha healthy and happy. That’s why I’m looking into pet insurance — just in case anything unexpected comes up. He means the world to me, and I want to be ready for whatever life throws our way.

Q: How do you care for the wellness of your pet, especially if they are prone to any hereditary illness?

Before bringing Matcha home, we made sure that both he and his parents were in good health. We took our time to understand his breed’s potential health risks and made sure to get him from a responsible cattery that prioritises the wellbeing of their cats.

To help reduce the chances of Matcha developing any health issues — especially things that British Longhairs may be prone to, like kidney conditions — we’re very careful with his diet. We only feed him high-quality food that’s free from by-products and fillers, and we make sure the ingredients are as natural as possible. We also add moisture to his meals and ensure he always has access to clean water, since cats tend to drink less on their own and that can lead to kidney problems later on.

On top of that, we set aside at least 15–30 minutes a day for active playtime. It’s not just for physical health — it helps keep him mentally stimulated and happy too. Whether it’s chasing feathers or zooming around the house, we make sure he gets a good amount of movement and engagement every day.

All in all, we try to give Matcha the best care possible, so he grows up strong, healthy, and well-loved.

Q: What do you look out for when considering a pet insurance?

I mainly look at whether the plan covers common issues for British Longhairs, like heart disease or kidney problems. I also check if they cover chronic conditions long-term, not just for a year. And honestly, how smooth the claims process is matters too—don’t want to be stuck with a complicated system when I’m stressed about my cat.

When I was considering pet insurance for Matcha, I looked at a few key things. Since he’s a British Longhair, I wanted to make sure the policy covers breed-related issues like heart conditions (like HCM) and kidney problems, which can be more common as they age. It’s also important to me that chronic conditions are covered for life—not just for the first year—because once something shows up, it usually needs ongoing treatment.

I also checked how much of the vet bill they reimburse, if there’s a cap per condition or per year, and how flexible they are with choosing your own vet. Some plans look cheap upfront but end up not covering much when you need them most. And honestly, I want something with a smooth claims process—when you’re already worried about your cat, the last thing you need is a messy admin headache.

If you have checked out Happy Tail, what do you like the most about the policy?

I checked out Happy Tails and what stood out to me was that the coverage actually feels practical. Like, it includes things that would really cost a lot if something serious happened—surgery, hospitalisation, even chemo. I also like that they cover hereditary and chronic conditions for life, which is important for breeds like Matcha.

The co-pay and deductible seem pretty reasonable, and I like that there’s a no-claim discount if you don’t make any claims that year. Overall, it feels like a solid plan that any fur parents can consider.

Aon’s HappyTails: @Sa’edah

I am Sa’edah, furmom to 4 furkids. My journey into the world of pawrenting began in an unexpected way – I wasn’t even a cat person to being with until one fine morning in 2019, i shocked my husband with the sudden request to have a cat! And that decision led me to Zain, my first furbaby, who came into my life during a time when I was healing from the sudden loss of my immediate family member.

Q: How do you care for the wellness of your pet, especially if they are prone to any hereditary illness?

I’ve learnt that being observant is super important when caring for pets cause they cant talk and tell you when they are sick. so as their ONLY caregivers we need to be extra vigilant.

With my cat Zain, we had always noticed his blurry eye when he was still a kitten. Even though it was mild at first, we made sure to get it checked during his yearly vet visits. despite our constant naggings, no one was able to figure what was going on.

Things changed quite a bit when we spotted his eye getting cloudier towards the end of 2022. We quickly booked a detailed check-up with the eye specialist for animals where we found that Zain had a genetic eye disorder and also found out his cataract was maturing fast. It really taught me that you can’t take chances with pet health – regular check-ups and quick action when something seems off are so important, especially when your pet might have genetic health issues.

Q: What do you look out for when considering a pet insurance?

if the plan covers both accidents and illnesses, especially since I’ve experienced unexpected vet visits which have literally cost me a bomb. The annual coverage limit is important – you would want it to be enough to cover major treatments if needed. I also look at whether there’s coverage for hereditary conditions and chronic illnesses, since these can be costly over time.

Any suggestion or advice to people who are still shopping around or considering pet insurance?

Don’t wait for a health issue to arise before choosing the right pet insurance for your furbaby. Make an informed decision today and protect your pet’s health with Aon Happy Tails. Visit www.aonhappytails.com to learn more and purchase a plan that suits your needs.

Lexye See is a 4 year old furbaby who joined the family during COVID. When I first got her at 5 months old, she was shaking like a leaf as she had never taken a car ride before. She has grown so much into her personality where she has so much love for beach walks, balloon bouncing with her snout, swimming and cuddles for anyone. Besides being a ball of energy and a kitchen supervisor, she enjoys snoozing and belly rubs.

Q: How do you care for the wellness of your pet, especially if they are prone to any hereditary illness?

As a golden retriever, they do develop a wide variety of hereditary conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, heart conditions, disorders related to the eyes and cancer. In Singapore’s weather, she tends to develop hotspots as well. To keep her in the best of health, we try to provide her with a healthy and balanced diet, supplements for her joints, fur coat and skin. We also manage her hotspots with topical ointments.

Q: What were your consideration / buying process like when shopping around for a pet insurance?

While scouting for the most appropriate pet insurance for Lexye, I wanted to ensure that it was a policy that was not just comprehensive but also suitable for her active lifestyle and possible hereditary illness.

Q: What eventually made you decide to get insured with Aon Happy Tail?

At Aon Happy Tails, the policy was comprehensive as it includes medical, surgical, emergency and even alternative treatments. What stood out for me was the well-rounded cancer related coverage that was not offered elsewhere at the point of my purchase. The application process was also relatively fuss-free.

https://www.instagram.com/lexyethegolden/

How is the entire buying process like? How long did the entire process took?

The application process was also relatively fuss-free. It only involved a vet visit and completing an online form before the coverage begins. If there are any queries, the staff are also accommodative and quick to respond.

Has anything changed (mentally) after getting your pet insured?

Having a good insurance coverage gives me reassurances that my pet’s medical treatment will not be compromised because of the vet bills.

Why do you think people are not ready to commit to a pet insurance?

There may be a lack of awareness and also knowledge regarding pet’s health, hereditary and development trajectories. It may also be daunting to consider a situation where your pet may not be as healthy as they were when they are younger.

Any suggestion or advice to people who are still shopping around or considering pet insurance?

While making an informed decision on which pet insurance is suitable for your furbaby, it is crucial to not wait till a health concern comes up before deciding.

Aon’s HappyTails: @baby.hilz

Hi everyone – I’m the mastermind behind @baby.hilz!

My little furball, Hilary, is a mini chocolate dapple dachshund with a personality as big as her heart. What started as a fun hobby has blossomed into a full-time commitment to sharing her adorable antics with the world. I’m passionate about the dog community and love meeting new furry friends and their loving owners. Truly grateful for the amazing opportunities I’ve had to collaborate with incredible brands, and Hilary and I are so thrilled to be a part of this Aon Happy Tails campaign! 🐾❤️

https://instagram.com/baby.hilz/

Q: How do you care for the wellness of your pet, especially if they are prone to any hereditary illness?

My family and I take great care of Hilary’s wellness by providing her with daily supplements like Antinol and various vitamins to support her overall health.

Additionally, we like to prioritize regular exercise, taking her on longer walks to build stamina and keep her active. Not forgetting to mention the yearly check-ups and vaccinations at our local vet clinic which are essential to monitor her health and prevent diseases.

Lastly, as dachshunds are prone to IVDD, we’re extra cautious. We avoid activities that could strain her back by helping her down from furniture such as couches and beds, and use ramps to minimize excessive jumping.

https://instagram.com/baby.hilz/

Q: What were your consideration / buying process like when shopping around for a pet insurance?

When considering pet insurance for Hilary, we prioritized a few key factors.

First – A trustworthy brand reputation was essential, and AON Happy Tails, with their established name and positive reviews from friends and family, immediately caught our eye.

Second – Affordability was another significant consideration, as we wanted a plan that fits within our budget without compromising coverage.

Lastly – We carefully examined the insurance coverage, ensuring it adequately protected Hilary against potential health issues, especially those common to dachshunds like IVDD.

Q: What eventually made you decide to get insured with Aon Happy Tail?

Ultimately, the combination of AON Happy Tails’ reputable brand, affordable plans, and comprehensive coverage sealed the deal for us.

Knowing that Hilary was protected against unexpected veterinary expenses, especially those related to potential hereditary conditions like IVDD, gave us peace of mind. We felt confident that AON Happy Tails would be there to support us, ensuring that Hilary received the best possible care.

https://instagram.com/baby.hilz/

How is the entire buying process like? How long did the entire process took?

The process of getting pet insurance with AON Happy Tails was relatively straightforward. We first selected a plan that suited Hilary’s needs and budget. Next, we scheduled a veterinary check-up to ensure she was healthy enough for coverage. Once we had the vet’s report, we completed the online application form, providing necessary details about Hilary. The entire process, from selecting a plan to finalizing the policy, took about a week, including the time for the vet check-up and document submission.

Has anything changed (mentally) after getting your pet insured?

Yes, getting pet insurance for Hilary has definitely brought a sense of peace of mind.

Before, there was always a lingering worry about unexpected veterinary costs, especially considering her breed’s predisposition to health issues.

Now, we can focus on providing the best care for her without the added financial stress. It’s a relief knowing that we have a safety net in place, allowing us to make decisions based on Hilary’s health needs, not our budget.

Why do you think people are not ready to commit to a pet insurance?

While pet insurance offers numerous benefits, I personally think that several factors can deter people from committing to it.

One common concern is the cost, as monthly premiums can add up over time. Some pet owners may also underestimate the potential veterinary expenses their pets might incur, especially for unexpected illnesses or accidents.

Additionally, a lack of awareness or understanding of pet insurance coverage and benefits can hinder people from considering it. Finally, some individuals may believe that they can adequately save for future veterinary costs, leading them to overlook the financial security that pet insurance provides.

Any suggestion or advice to people who are still shopping around or considering pet insurance?

When considering pet insurance, it’s crucial to carefully evaluate your pet’s specific needs and budget.

Research different providers, compare plans, and consider factors such as coverage limits, deductibles, and exclusions. Don’t hesitate to seek advice from your veterinarian or consult with insurance agents.

Caring for our beloved pets is just as vital as caring for any family member. Choosing pet insurance like Aon Happy Tails is a thoughtful way to protect their health while ensuring your peace of mind.
